Austrian Darts Open breaks record for number of 180 scores at European Tour tournament

At the recent European Darts Grand Prix, darters came close to setting a new 180 record on the European Tour, but last weekend at the Austrian Darts Open the record was finally broken.

No fewer than 245 maximum scores were thrown during the Euro Tour tournament in Austria. That's six more than at the Baltic Sea Darts Open in 2023. Most 180 scores came on the account of Luke Littler. The English teenage sensation, who eventually won the tournament, threw the highest possible score 21 times.

At the European Darts Grand Prix, darters were already close to a new 180 record on the Euro Tour, but last weekend at the Austrian Darts Open the record was still broken. This streak began at the sixth Euro Tour tournament of 2023 and now lasts at least until the fifth Euro Tour tournament of 2024.
