"So it's Michael's fault, not mine": Nathan Aspinall jokingly blames Michael Smith for early World Championship exit to Ricky Evans

For Nathan Aspinall, the past World Darts Championship ended in a big disappointment. With PDC Europe he looked back on that disappointing tournament.

Aspinall lost 3-0 to Ricky Evans in the second round at the last World Darts Championship. "I felt horrendous, very bad. I wasn't a very nice person for 24 hours. It was a very tough loss. But as soon as I got home, I just forgot about the tournament and enjoyed Christmas."

"I think I'd done too much practice. I'm not a very big practicer. I thought I'd change something as I wasn't doing well. I did six hours a day with Michael Smith. Practice was great but I think I just burned myself out. So it's Michael's fault, not mine."

Aspinall has been playing in a new shirt since this year. "It's brighter, there's a lot more going on. It's more the color, the red."

Hungarian Darts Trophy

'The Asp' also revealed what his favorite tournament on the European Tour is. "The Hungarian Darts Trophy," he said firmly. "Just because of the nightlife."

Aspinall is also a well known supporter of Manchester United and was asked what the problem is. "How long's this interview. It's been like this for 10-15 years now hasn't it. Luckily the Director of Football can come in and change things from top to bottom as it's pretty terrible."
