“I changed my throw tonight, just taking that little bit of extra time" - Luke Littler sees patience pay off on Night 9 of Premier League Darts

Luke Littler has finally clinched his first weekly title in the 2024 Premier League Darts. 'The Nuke' defeated Nathan Aspinall 6-4 in the final of the Night 9.

Littler had to get past Luke Humphries, who had already won three playing days in a row, in the first round. “I am so happy to win my first night," said Littler afterwards, having also dealt with Michael van Gerwen in the semifinals. “I changed my throw tonight, just taking that little bit of extra time. I practiced a lot more tonight and it has paid off."

“We’re halfway [through the season] and there is still a lot of work to do," continues Littler who now sits second in the Premier League table behind Luke Humphries. "But to win one night going into the second half of the season has really got my hopes up and gives me confidence.”

Littler will not be at the German Darts Grand Prix this weekend after failing tp qualify. "Some extra rest will do me good," he insists however. "Now I am just really looking forward to the big one in Manchester next week.”
