"It's a female presenter, people aren't used to that" - Jerry Hendriks comes to aid of Viaplay colleague after criticism

Since early last year, the PDC tournaments in the Netherlands can be followed on Viaplay. Anne-Marie Fokkens provides the studio presentation there.

Fokkens faced a lot of criticism for this. "But I think that really doesn't make sense," says Jerry Hendriks, who regularly sits in as an analyst. "For years darts could be followed on RTL and change just takes getting used to."

"It's a female presenter, people aren't used to that either. But Anne-Marie can take criticism well, I think she does a good job."

"She is well-read and very eager to learn, all respect for that," Hendriks continued. "Of course she has already made mistakes, but the public in the Netherlands is also very critical."
