Killington on good start to ProTour return including Cross win: "I felt on top of the world"

George Killington has made a good start to life back on the ProTour including a victory over Rob Cross on Saturday afternoon in a 6-1 triumph.

Killington spoke to Tungsten Tales about return to life on the ProTour and that victory over 'Voltage'.

"The better you're playing the more you fancy yourself, I'm over the moon, it was a good start," said Killington to Tungsten Tales.

"Last time I had my Tour Card, I felt good but I just wasn't getting the results. I was coming away and if I had one win in a weekend, I was doing alright and that was the main goal to not make the numbers up.

"I feel when I'm playing well I deserve to have a Tour Card and I just wanted to play like I should be. It's finally starting to come together."

"Last time I played Rob Cross, he beat me 6-1. He probably doesn't remember playing me last time, I definitely haven't forgot it. To get in the game and play like that was brilliant.

"I've never won a game on a stream board, I've been in so many positions to win a game so to get my first win with a 98 average, against Rob Cross, I felt on top of the world."

He also qualified for the European Tour which he was glad to get out the way.

"Last time I had a Tour Card, I only qualified for one European Tour and that was quite late on in the two years. So now to get back in and qualify for the first one, it's a massive weight off the shoulders."

"I want to qualify for all of them but the worry of getting one done, that's now out the way."
