Michael van Gerwen has congratulated his favorite soccer team PSV Eindhoven on winning the national title. PSV became champions in the Eredivisie for the 25th time Sunday by winning 4-2 against Sparta in a sold-out Philips Stadium.
''Congratulations to PSV on their 25th title in the Eredivisie,'' Van Gerwen wrote on X. ''Proud of my favorite team,'' the three-time world champion added.
In the same tweet, Van Gerwen also looked back at a special moment in 2017. After winning his second world title, 'Mighty Mike' was honored in a PSV shirt at the Philips Stadium.
