Schedule for Masters 2024 announced: Wade, Searle, Rock, Chisnall, Bunting, Clayton and Dobey in action on opening night

The PDC has announced the playing schedule for the 2024 Masters. From Feb. 2 to 4, the top-24 players in the world rankings will compete for the title at the major tournament in Milton Keynes.

In the opening match, Dirk van Duijvenbode will be in action against Ryan Searle. The only Belgian participant at the Masters will also play on Friday. Dimitri van den Bergh faces James Wade in the first round. Defending champion Chris Dobey must also start the tournament from the first round. He meets Andrew Gilding for a spot in the last sixteen.

The top eight in the world rankings only enter the tournament from the last sixteen. Danny Noppert will play either Dave Chisnall or Martin Schindler in the second round on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 3. Former world champions Rob Cross, Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price are also scheduled to play in the afternoon session.

Five-time Masters champion Michael van Gerwen starts his tournament on Saturday night against the winner of the match between Dobey and Gilding. Reigning world champion Luke Humphries will make his appearance against either Stephen Bunting or Ross Smith. Should Van Duijvenbode get through his first match, a showdown with Nathan Aspinall awaits for him. Former world champion Michael Smith meets Van den Bergh or Wade.
