Three players kept their unbeaten Premier League season intact after Night Three in Dublin.
Chief among the undefeated trio is table-topper Michael van Gerwen. The Dutch ace was just a dart away from a resounding 7-0 whitewash of world number two Rob Cross. In the end, Mighty Mike had to settle for a 7-2 success. The PDC world champion has won all three Premier League games thus far. Unsurprisingly, that puts him at the top of the rankings.
Even just three games in, van Gerwen is two points clear of the chasing pack. Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright sit third and fourth, having avoided defeat so far. Price grabbed a draw against James Wade in Dublin, while Wright overcame home favourite Steve Lennon 7-5.
Daryl Gurney, victor in a topsy-turvy match with Michael Smith, leaps into second spot. Just outside the tentative play-off spots are Wade and Cross, both on three points apiece.
Thanks to their Dublin draw, Raymond van Barneveld and Mensur Suljovic are on two points. They are yet to win this season. Smith is in a similar position. He sits bottom on just one point after three games. This time last year, Bully Boy topped the league standings with a 100 per cent record.
