Michael van Gerwen is back at the top of the Premier League Darts table once again after the fourth night of action in Dublin which saw Mighty Mike defeat William O’Connor 7-4.
Van Gerwen mainly regained the lead due to former leader Glen Durrant suffering his first defeat of his debut Premier League Darts campaign to Nathan Aspinall.
As a result Aspinall goes up to second but Van Gerwen has a superior leg difference so takes the top spot. Durrant as a result sits with a group of players all on five points.
Michael Smith is also up to five points as a result of hitting a nine-darter after defeating Daryl Gurney. Gerwyn Price and Gary Anderson also sit on this points total after their respective wins over Peter Wright and Rob Cross.
Cross and Wright are in seventh and eighth place on three points respectively. While Gurney currently sits in last place.
