There’s a familiar figure atop the Premier League Darts table after Night Two.

Michael van Gerwen has got off to an ideal start in his bid for yet another Premier League Darts title. The Dutchman routed Daryl Gurney 7-1, and is top of the table after two games. Even at this early stage, Mighty Mike is the only player with a 100 per cent record.

Three players join van Gerwen in being unbeaten. Glen Durrant is on three points after a draw with contender Fallon Sherrock. Duzza is joined by Rob Cross and Gary Anderson in the embryonic Premier League Darts play-off places.

Nathan Aspinall is in fifth after defeat to Cross; he’s one spot ahead of Gerwyn Price, who is unbeaten but also winless after an opening pair of draws.

Peter Wright and Michael Smith earned their first point apiece of the 2020 Premier League Darts campaign, and sit in seventh and eighth positions.

That leaves Gurney, whose heavy defeat to Michael van Gerwen leaves him pointless, at the bottom of the pile.
