Kyle Anderson won his first PDC title at Players Championship 17 on Saturday. ‘The Original’ also produced a nine-dart finish during his fourth round game against Ronny Huybrechts.
The Australian Ace defeated Kevin Painter in the final to claim his maiden PDC victory. Anderson beat Tony Newell (6-3), Nathan Aspinall (6-5), Ryan Meikle (6-1), Ronny Huybrechts (6-3), Stephen Bunting (6-3) and Michael Smith (6-3) en route to the final of Players Championship 17.
”Today it all came together. I said to myself, I have to take the chances I make for myself and today I took my chance,” said Anderson on PDC.TV.
“I’ve never doubted myself – everybody on the tour can do what I did today and it’s the ones who don’t get nervous who come through in the end.
“This is not a one off, I have to win again, there has to be more!”
