Gary Anderson who seemingly wasn’t going to play in the PDC Home Tour before his WiFi issues got sorted has justified the help that was given to him by claiming a clean sweep to move through in Group 30.
Anderson began his night by seeing off Dirk van Duijvenbode in a 5-1 win – which saw the Dutchman have woes on his doubles missing 11 darts which allowed ‘The Flying Scotsman’ to cruise through.
A tie against the first of two PDC World Cup stars awaited following that with the two time World Champion breezing past Dimitri van den Bergh 5-1 with a 92 average and 5/14 on his doubles.
Kim Huybrechts was also sat on two wins and was seemingly the nearest challenger to Anderson but he fell in a 5-2 defeat who again averaged 92.
His doubling was even better in this tie with 5/9 on the doubles to go alongside two 180’s scoring wise. Having never played an online game before tonight, he has acclimatised very well indeed.
