Nathan Aspinall claimed the UK Open title on Sunday evening with £100,000 added to his Order of Merit as a result.
This catapulted the Stockport ace up to the top 16 and as a result achieving a new record in the process.
He has become the fastest player to reach this position in the rankings after winning a Tour Card at Q-School.
He did it in 406 days remarkably and this shows the true rise of ‘The Asp’.
