The final is confirmed at Players Championship 17 in Wigan with Nathan Aspinall set to take on Krzysztof Ratajski in the final with £10,000 up for grabs for the winner shortly.
Aspinall came through a thriller against Ron Meulenkamp with the latter coming so close to seeing off the UK Open champion but it was the ‘The Asp’ who kept his cool to come out a 7-5 winner against the Dutchman.
Ratajski on the other hand came through with ease against James Wilson who endured a good run in his pursuit of a World Matchplay spot but a 101 average and a 7-3 win meant that the Polish Eagle was just too strong in the end.
‘The Asp’ will be the favourite in the final due to his UK Open victory; but Ratajski has been the star all day and will be looking to add to his title haul once again in Wigan.
