The news that BDO darts fans and players alike have been waiting for has finally been released with the venue for the World Trophy which is set to take place from Friday 30 August, running through to Sunday 1 September announced.

It will take place at the King George’s Hall in Blackburn for the next three years; which seats 1,800 people and will mean longevity for the competition instead of the venue changing year after year like it has as of late.

This tournament will also of course be shown on Eurosport; with them showing every major tournament also including the World Masters and World Championship so this will be good news for them.

The qualifiers for the remaining four Men’s and two Ladies places in the World Trophy will take place just before the tournament begins on Thursday 29 August with the field confirmed following that.
