Stephen Bunting claimed a draw against Rob Cross last night as ‘The Bullet’ returned to Premier League action at home in Liverpool.
It acts as a sign of Bunting’s revival that he has returned to the elite albeit as a ‘Challenger’ as after his debut in the competition, he has gone through a period in the darting doldrums where he nearly gave up the game.
Now the hunger is there for the former Lakeside World Champion to return to the top and his experience in Liverpool certainly helped that.
“Rob is a difficult player to play and I’ve never beaten him yet, but in the future I will get him.
“I’m disappointed with the performance to be honest, I’ve been playing better than that. Being back up on that stage is going to take time to get used to, but I need to get used to it because it’s where I want to be.
“Hopefully I can be back in the Premier League full-time in the future.”
