Rob Cross lost out in a deciding leg to Damon Heta on Saturday at the Brisbane Darts Masters, losing out in the defence of his title.

Cross was also looking for back to back TV titles after his heroics at the World Matchplay and he praised his opponent after the defeat.

’Voltage’ said that despite him feeling good all tournament; Heta deserved it and he added he now has to pick himself up and go again in Melbourne.

“I’ve played well this week and been feeling good since Blackpool but fair play to Damon he deserved it tonight.

“I had my chances but that means nothing if you don’t take them so I just have to say well done to Damon and prepare myself for Melbourne.”
