Joe Cullen wasn’t at his best as he became only the second seed to survive so far on day 2 at the Dutch Darts Masters.
The number 12 seed defeated Dutchman Hendriks in the 4th deciding leg of the day. Averaging 94 it wasn’t the best performance of the day, but an accomplished 60% on the doubles helped him to the win.
John Henderson, like Cullen finished well. 50% on the doubles for the Highlander and a 104 average helped the big Scot see off Ian white. The pair traded legs for the first 4 before Henderson opened up a lead. A highest finish of 81 helping him to 4-2. The Scot sealed the win on tops in the 9th leg.
The form payer of the PDC right now is probably Kyle Anderson. The Auckland darts master carried on where he left off last night and averaged 100.71 as he defeated Mervyn King 6-3 in the final game of the session. 4 180’s, a highest checkout of 104 and 6/14 on the doubles helped him defeat the former World Master, who averaged 103 himself.
Youngster Martin Schindler defeated Welsh number 1 Gerwyn Price in the sessions other game. The Wall, as he is nicknamed, recovered from 4-1 and 5-4 down to snatch victory from Premier League hopeful Price. The Iceman struggled on doubles, only hitting 17.86% on his way to defeat.
Martin Schindler (92.85) 6-5 (96.73) Gerwyn Price
John Henderson (104.30) 6-3 (100.80) Ian White
Joe Cullen (94.63) 6-5 (86.44) Jimmy Hendriks
Kyle Anderson (100.71) 6-3 (103.01) Mervyn King
