Chris Dobey produced a classy display yesterday to see off the massively supported Martin Schindler who of course was playing in front of a home crowd.

Finishes of 150 and 164 from the Bedlington ace put him 5-1 up but ‘The Wall’ wasn’t done and came back to 5-4 before Dobey finished the match.
He spoke afterwards admitting he’s glad to get the win over a ‘local lad’ and especially a player who wasn’t missing much.
Dobey faces Michael Smith later today in one of the games of the day in Munich.
“I started well with my finishing but I let Martin back in and he wasn’t missing much so I’m glad to get the win,” said Dobey, who now plays Michael Smith.
“To play in front of this crowd is phenomenal, especially playing a local lad. I’m very happy.”
