The latter stages in both the Men’s and Ladies World Masters have began to be confirmed at the Circus Tavern.

Among those through at the World Masters include Anastasia Dobromyslova; who eased past Corrine Hammond in a 4-1 win. Joining her is Kasumi Sato; who averaged 87 in a brilliant victory over Deta Hedman featuring an excellent 120 checkout.

Mario Vandenbogaerde in the men’s showed himself as a real danger man in producing the best performance in the round in edging past Jeff Smith.

There was also brilliance from Neil Duff and Graham Usher who both reach major quarter-finals for the first time.

Carl Hamilton edged out Craig Owens as well who has established himself as a potential favourite for the title. He was given a tough test though.
