The final has been confirmed at Players Championship 29 with Ian White set to face Brendan Dolan in the penultimate event of action in Barnsley.

White surprisingly despite his number one seed status has not won a Players Championship title this year and will hope to finally claim one after seeing off Ron Meulenkamp 7-5.

Meulenkamp has been denied once again as he continues to try and make a PDC ranking final for the first time and he probably got his closest yet against ‘Diamond’.

Dolan on the other hand saw off the player of the day in many ways in Peter Wright who couldn’t produce his heroics of the last round.

‘The History Maker’ won his first title in nearly five years in Hildesheim a couple of months back and so will try and win a second PDC ranking title of the season as his resurgence continues.
