Glen Durrant has booked his first win as a PDC player during Players Championship 2 in Wigan. ‘Duzza’ defeated Madars Razma 6-5 to recover from a first round exit on Saturday.
The three-time Lakeside champion came 4-2 down to Razma, but levelled the match in the eighth leg. The Latvian started the final eleventh leg, but Durrant kicked off phenomenal with 177 and 180.
The Middlesbrough ace finally hit a 12-dart leg to claim the win and set-up a second round clash against Peter Wright later this afternoon.
Michael van Gerwen survived a scare against Shaun Carroll as the world number one battled back from a 5-3 deficit and took the win in the deciding leg with a 14-darter.
