Glen Durrant secured a second European Tour appearance this year after coming through the qualifier for the German Darts Grand Prix.
The three-time Lakeside champion booked a 6-1 victory over Kirk Shepherd in his board final to seal qualification for the third European Tour event of the season. Durrant averaged 110.7 and produced two 11-dart legs and a 12-darter en route to convincing win over the former World Championship finalist.
The Middlesbrough ace kicked off the afternoon with a narrow win against Gavin Carlin, who missed seven match-darts to beat ‘Duzza’. In the board semi-final Durrant beat Nathan Rafferty 6-2 to progress to the final round.
