Due to the Coronavirus pandemic curtailing darting action, the PDC came up with the idea to set up a PDC Home Tour. Most players have played from home in recent months with 101 out of 128 being involved.
The whole set-up received positive and negative comments with the latter mainly being at the start when issues arose. One person though who wasn’t a massive fan of the format was the Dutch darts commentator and MC, Jacques Nieuwlaat.
“It was nothing. You are looking at two dartboards with a muppet above it. There is nothing to it.”
However, he wants the format to be brought back albeit it different. “It has to be done again next year. It should not get smaller, it has to be bigger, better and more,” says Nieuwlaat in the RTL Darts Bullseye Podcast.
