The World Trophy brings BDO majors back onto UK televisions – Eurosport will be covering all the action.

After a lot of pre-tournament drama, everything looks in place ahead of the event at St George’s Hall in Blackburn. The men’s champion – Glen Durrant – won’t be around to defend his title. But 2018 World Trophy women’s winner Fallon Sherrock will be there.

Sherrock’s opening tie is a massive one, against current BDO world champion Mikuru Suzuki. Lisa Ashton meeting Corinne Hammond in a repeat of the 2017 Lakeside final is another highlight. In the men’s draw, Jim Williams kicks off with a plum draw against Wes Newton. Elsewhere, Wesley Harms plays Paul Hogan – and the winner of that tie will play against Andy Hamilton or Adam Smith-Neale.

The World Trophy will be called by a brand-new team of officials, along with MC Paul Booth.
