Ryan Harrington is through to the Last 16 at the Grand Slam of Darts after defeating Wayne Warren in a 5-1 win to ensure his progression but afterwards he admitted it was one of the hardest games he’s played in his life.
Harrington added that he felt so nervous but that it helped playing in front of what he called an amazing crowd. He also spoke about the added pressure of having Rod Harrington as his father and he said that he wouldn’t be doing what he’s doing if he didn’t think he could achieve what his dad did on stage.
“That’s got to be one of the hardest games I’ve ever played in my life,” admitted the 29-year-old.
“It was so scary tonight, I felt really nervous but it was fantastic playing in front of this amazing crowd again, I’m thankful for their support.
“I wouldn’t be up here trying to be a professional if I didn’t think I could achieve what my dad has on stage. I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t think I could beat the best.”
