Ian White ended up the winner yesterday with ‘Diamond’ adding to his haul of PDC ranking titles but his first in around 2 years after it seemingly being a regular occurrence with his floor form seen as amongst the best.
He is now up to 3rd in the Players Championship as a result of that with only Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson ahead of him. This is only due to their 2 titles each. White is ahead of Dave Chisnall who has shown some great early season form after a poor 18 months for the St Helens ace.
Another player on the rise again is James Wade who is in 5th after the weekend, ‘The Machine’ will be hoping to arrest his slide out of the darting elite and is going the right way about it especially on the Pro Tour.
Peter Wright known for his Pro Tour prowess even winning the Player of the Year award in that last year is in 10th place showing his downturn in form as of late.
Ahead of him are Adrian Lewis, Chris Dobey and Ryan Joyce, players who will be hoping to show their early season form in major tournament as well as on the floor.
