Michael Smith will head into the Premier League in Liverpool, his local leg aiming to continue his brilliant form as of late.

Smith hit a nine-dart finish against Gurney two weeks ago in Dublin before then defeating Michael van Gerwen in Exeter in a brilliant three game run and as a result, ‘Bully Boy’ is confident with his game heading into facing Peter Wright.

“It’s the happiest I’ve been playing darts,” said Smitb. “There’s no pressure on me – I’m there to do a job and hopefully I can keep winning.

“I want to be competing in the Premier League all season so I want to make sure I get past the cut-off and then focus on the top four.”
