Another seed is gone at the World Championship as the 18th seed, Kim ‘The Hurricane’ Huybrechts has been knocked out by James Richardson who lived up to his moniker of ‘Ruthless’ by smashing the Belgian and winning in straight sets including a remarkable final set which saw the Rushden man win 3-0 and Richardson having a 96 average.
Richardson was always going to be a danger and always performs on the big stage harking back to his famous 2012 victory over Raymond van Barneveld and now he moves on to a second round tie with Alan Norris and if tonight’s performance is anything to go by he could give Chuck a real game and potentially dump another seed out.
