Former PDC World Championship semi-finalist Andy Jenkins has started well in his Icons of Darts League campaign with two wins out of two to begin the day.

Jenkins who replaced Mark Webster today as part of the line-up which will alternate all week started the day with a hard fought win over Paul Nicholson 5-4 with an 84 average, two 180’s and 5/25 on his doubles.

He then pounced against David Evans on ‘Stretch’ missing four match darts in the deciding leg and despite Evans being in front for most of the tie, it was the Hampshire ace who nicked it at the last hurdle in another 5-4 win on double 19 to claim maximum points so far.

In the midst of that, the star of the opening day, Wessel Nijman continued where he left off in dispatching Raymond van Barneveld once again 5-2 like he did at the same point on Monday to make it five matches overall unbeaten.

This saw him averaging just under 90, hitting two 180’s and hitting 29 percent on doubles en route against the Dutch legend who has yet to pick up a win in the League so far, can Nijman make it two out of two?
