Nick Kenny claimed victory on Tuesday evening in the PDC Home Tour to secure his progression through to the next round.
For Kenny he acknowledged that he wasn’t favourite to get through in a group that featured Luke Humphries and Devon Petersen but that he should his prowess in claiming it.
He went on to single Humphries in particular out for praise and admitted that beating the World Youth Champion was among his highlights.
“I’m happy, on paper I’m the worst player in the group but it proves I can live with the big boys,” said Kenny in the aftermath of his victory.
“Luke is a big boy and has lost in the quarter-finals of the World Championship twice and he is the best player out of all of us so I’m very pleased.”
