Lithuanian ace Darius Labanauskas swept aside the field on home turf at the latest PDC Nordic & Baltic Pro Tour events.
Labanauskas chalked up successive victories in Pro Tour Events 3 and 4 at the Panorama Hotel in Vilnius. His double success comes in addition to winning the fourth Nordic & Baltic European Tour qualifier in the same weekend.
His first Pro Tour win of the season began with a bye. Then followed a 6-2 defeat of Oskar Lukasiak, and a 6-4 win over Steen Lysen. The fourth seed then beat fellow Lithuanian Mindaugas Barauskas 6-2, repeating the feat in the semi-finals against Danish veteran Per Laursen. Cor Dekker put up a fight, but the 2017 Lakeside quarter-finalist recorded a 6-5 win.
Pro Tour 4 started with a 6-2 success against Nicolai Rasmussen. Mauri Tuutijarvi and Madars Razma were brushed aside, before Labanauskas notched up a 6-3 win over Magnus Caris. Once again, it took all 11 legs for the Kaunas thrower to take the title. Daniel Larsson saw him off to take the Pro Tour 2 crown, but Labanauskas served up revenge in Vilnius.
