Adrian Lewis came from the brink to stun James Wade and move into a first major quarter-final in over two years at the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.
Lewis was 9-6 down but came back to level the tie up before letting out a roar as he pinned a 110 checkout to defeat ‘The Machine’ and set up a clash with Michael van Gerwen.
He spoke afterwards and said that he is so happy to claim the victory and that to be back in the QUarter-Final in a major is great for him.
“I’m so happy to win that match, James and I have got a lot of respect for each other and to be back in a quarter-final is great,” said Lewis.
“I didn’t mean to turn the bull down, I thought he was on 181 not 161, I can be a bit dopey sometimes, thankfully it didn’t come back to bite me in the end.”
