MAD announces Contender Series Finals to be held in front of a crowd

On Friday, July 23, the MAD Contender Series Finals have been announced to take place in front of a live crowd in Atherton, Manchester.

Announced at the turn of the year, the MAD structure sees a pyramid which is competed on a regional, national and continental level with players having belts and bids being put in to face these players at the top of the pyramid.

This allows players to work their way from the bottom to the top or pub to pro while earning money through title defences.

In March, it was announced that through qualifying tournaments in which players would compete against current title holders. MAD World Champion Wayne Warren will take on Jarred Cole.

While, Welsh Champion Jim Williams faces Jamie Lewis and English champion, Darryl Fitton is set to lock horns with Ricky King.

In addition, two regional title matches will be played. The battle for the 'Invaders' title is between Rob Collins and Richard North, while Scott Taylor faces an as-yet-unknown qualifier to determine who is the best player in the 'Falcons' region.

Tables of six are available for this event as well as standing for this even as darts begins to get back to normal.
