Surprise challenger emerges for Fitton’s MAD English title

A surprising challenger has emerged to test Darryl Fitton for his MAD English title in the coming weeks.

The unknown RIcky King won the tournament by beating Dave Parletti in the final 8-5. The field of participants also included Richard North, George Killington and Conan Whitehead.

This forms part of MAD’s different structure with four divisions as part of this on a pyramid system with Super Regional, National, Continental and finally World level. Any existing champion in this pyramid can go higher but automatically vacates their title.

This means a big opportunity could await King if he can defeat Fitton and decides to move up.

In December, Fitton managed to claim the first 'belt' by dealing with Paul Hogan and now will meet his first match in the coming weeks.
