Warren pays tribute to Mitchell after retaining MAD World Championship: "He's been a great help to me"

Wayne Warren made his first defence of the inaugural MAD World Championship on Saturday night defeating Scott MItchell in a tense finale to 'The Dawn'.

Warren spoke afterwards and said that while it was good to win, it was difficult playing someone he is so close to.

"When I won the World title this year, the first person I spoke to was Scott. I phoned him up, my missus phoned him up. He's been a great help to me. It's very hard to play a friend," said Warren.

"To win tonight for MAD darts, it's as good as winning the world title. I hope everyone enjoyed that and as far as I'm concerned, MAD darts, lets go forward."
