Kyle McKinstry and David Cameron are through to the second round after seeing off Chris Landman and Gary Robson to end Tuesday at Lakeside.
McKinstry held his nerve to knock out Landman including a crucial 132 checkout in the final set to seal the deal.
This was after what was a back and forth match between the pair that any of them could have claimed the win in so McKinstry will be pleased to have got through.
Cameron dumped out Gary Robson who as of late has had a bit of a renaissance on the BDO tour.
‘Excalibur’ who dumped out another big name in Andy Hamilton in the prelim averaged just shy of 90 in a 3-1 sets win over ‘Robbo’.
Robson was under par but Cameron was still up to the task and completed the job.
