The BDO World Trophy is reaching it’s conclusion with the first semi-finalists and finalist confirmed at the Preston Guildhall in the men’s & women’s draw. These include Ross Montgomery, Fallon Sherrock & Michael Unterbuchner with 3 more matches deciding the fate of this evening.

Montgomery started proceedings off and came back from the brink once again. ‘The Boss’ was 6-4 down against Kyle McKinstry but came back to win 7-6 after surviving a match dart. Ross had breaks in the 11th and 13th legs of the match which was the difference and hit 6 perfect darts on the way.
Sherrock was next up and is the first finalist of the tournament. The Milton Keynes ace whitewashed Roz Bulmer 6-0 with what she described as her best game she has played on TV. This was shown with a 91 average which if she can replicate could prove a tough test for either Lorraine Winstanley or Anastasia Dobromyslova.
Finally in the performance of the day so far, Michael Unterbuchner who keeps going from strength to strength dumped out Peter Machin, the defending champion. ‘T-Rex’ claimed a 7-1 win with 96.64 average wise and 88% of his doubles to reach tonight’s semi-finals.
