Young and Long claim titles during opening weekend on CDC Tour

Darin Young and Jim Long have claimed the first titles on the CDC Tour last weekend. This circuit is available for players from North America. The highest ranked American and Canadian player at the end of the season receive an invite for the PDC World Darts Championship.

Young won the first event of the new season after defeating Dave Richardson 6-3 in the final. The American was also very close to secure a double win in Philadelphia as he had a 5-0 lead in his second final.
However 'Big Daddy' gave away this big advantage and lost the final 6-5 to Jim Long. The Canadian appeared at the World Championship last year, where he beat Mickey Mansell in the first round. Long lost 3-2 in sets to 30th seed Benito van de Pas in the second rond.
