Danny Noppert is through to his first PDC TV semi-final at the Players Championship Finals after seeing off Stephen Bunting in a superb comeback win.
Bunting went into a 6-3 lead and was seemingly cruising to a semi-final with Daryl Gurney but Noppert wrestled the match back.
He went into a 7-6 lead and after Bunting got his seventh and final leg, Noppie reeled off three straight legs for a superb victory.
It caps off a brilliant year for the Dutch ace who since switching to the PDC has won an event and now stands on the cusp of a first TV title.
He will have a tough test in Gurney who was impressive earlier in his win over Chris Dobey.
In terms of stats, it was six 180’s a piece with twenty seven percent on his doubles with a 95 average for Noppert.
