Fan favourite Aleksandr Oreshkin made a winning start to the 2018 EuroAsian Darts Corporation season.
The Russian World Cup representative was victorious in Event One of the first EADC tournament this year. He defeated Alexander Basharin and Grigory Kirilenko to make the final. Youngster Maxim Aldoshin stood in the way. But the Oreshkin prevailed, winning 6-4.
The beaten finalist had his revenge on the same weekend, as he claimed the Event Two title. Aldoshin, who reached the last 64 at the World Youth Championship, started off with a 6-4 win over Maxim Belov. He then beat his Event One vanquisher 6-2, before a 6-4 defeat of Vladimir Akshulakov sealed glory.
Two-time World Championship participant Oreshkin holds a commanding lead in the EADC table, which takes 2017 results into account. World Cup partner Boris Koltsov trails the 56-year-old, with Evgenii Isotov and Aldoshin behind him.Tags: Alexsandr Oreshkin | EADC | EuroAsian Darts Corporation | Maxim Aldoshin | PDC
