Peter Wright will take on Daryl Gurney on Sunday afternoon in Hasselt after defeating Jonny Clayton 10-8. This completed a remarkable comeback for the World Number 3 who was down and out at 5-0 down but battled back to take the win against Clayton who performed well but missed doubles once Wright came back into proceedings which meant Wright took a get out of jail free card against the Ferret.
This result is good for those who don’t want Michael van Gerwen to win the tournament with Wright seemingly the closest threat to the World Number One but he will have to get past Daryl Gurney who looked good in his victory against Stephen Bunting and will be wanting to get his second major like Wright by the end of tomorrow.
