Peter Wright cruised past Justin Pipe to reach the Quarter-Finals tomorrow in Glasgow. He got a raptous reception from his home crowd which despite him not performing as good as his fellow countryman Gary Anderson with a 91.5 average, 3 180’s and 60% on the doubles it was easy going for ‘Snakebite’ who came out the 6-1 victor.

Michael van Gerwen had the same scoreline and smashed through Max Hopp in an easy smashing for the World Number One. Hopp had a few glimpses of good darts but was heavily overwhelmed by the number one who hit a second highest tournament average in the process of 102 plus compared to Hopp who hit an 86. ‘Mighty Mike’ will next play either Kyle Anderson or Rob Cross in the Quarter-Finals.
