The first UK Junior Tour Event of the year went the way of Brad Phillips.

The 14-year-old burst through the field at the George Albert Hotel in Dorchester to take the title. Harlow youngster Phillips beat Harry Robinson 3-1 and Christian Taylor 3-0 in the early rounds. He was then taken to a decider in the next two rounds, seeing off Kyle Manton and then Freddie Francis. A first Junior Tour title was then just a win away for Phillips.

He saw off Jack Seymour in the final, prevailing 5-3. The tie was level at 3-3 when the 14-year-old struck, winning two legs on the trot to secure victory. The JDC Tour in England is one of three, with sister organisations in Ireland and Asia running events in 2018.
