Gerwyn Price is finally back in the winners circle in a PDC event and admitted afterwards that he was thrilled to claim the title.
Price saw off Simon Whitlock in the final of the latest European Tour event, the International Darts Open.
As well as his thoughts on claiming the titles ‘The Iceman’ spoke about his injury and said despite it he still turns up to every tournament wanting to win.
“I’m thrilled to win in front of this unbelievable crowd,” said Price, who was starring in his second European Tour final.
“Simon got off to a good lead but I bucked my ideas up and played my best darts of the tournament at the end of the final.
“The injury doesn’t bother me, I’m still playing well and I turn up to every tournament expecting to win because it’s pointless being there otherwise.
“When you play in front of crowds like this you want to play the best you can and thankfully I did.”
