The latest ProTour Order of Merit has been revealed.
Rankings take on an extra significance this week, with the top 32 being seeded for Players Championship 1&2. Mensur Suljovic’s absence means fellow Austrian Zoran Lerchbacher will take a spot as a seed. Michael van Gerwen, with a total of £230,750 earned on the Tour, tops the Order of Merit. 2017 ProTour Player of the Year Peter Wright follows in second place. Rob Cross is in third, meaning the rankings are the same as in the overall Order of Merit. The order changes slightly afterwards, with Michael Smith in fourth and Joe Cullen in seventh.
Krzysztof Ratajski and Corey Cadby are big risers after their UK Open Qualifying heroics. They rise to 60th and 68th respectively. Raymond van Barneveld sits in 58th place. But, given his promise to appear in more floor tournaments, his stock should rise in 2018. Due to his position as the only top player not competing in early Players Championship tournaments, Mensur Suljovic could drop down the rankings.
