The provisional field for the Grand Slam of Darts which takes place in November has been updated after the conclusion of the Czech Darts Open in Prague.
It sees the champion in the event Jamie Hughes bring himself into the field; this is at the expense of Glen Durrant who has won lesser events despite being more in the form of Players Championship.
This at the minute also gives spots to Ian White and Dave Chisnall; with White in particular winning multiple European Tour events this season.
Martin Schindler further up is safe if anyone above him in the standings reaches the final of the World Matchplay; while other runners-up including James Wade and the Irish pairing of William O’Connor and Steve Lennon follow the same rule.
Barring that all of the players below in the top nine are confirmed; with them all claiming titles in the past year or finishing runner-up in big major tournaments.
It will be interesting to see if given the high standard of darts at the minute whether this field remains like below until the event in Aldersley.
