The sixth night is complete in the Remote Darts League with the big three in the tournament which is played by WDF/BDO players all shining.
Paul Hogan was one of them with ‘Crocodile Dundee’ producing a tremendous display to smash Alan Norris 7-0. The latter had woes on the doubles which lent himself to be brushed aside and meant that for Hogan, he added more points to his tally continuing on from easing past Wes Newton and a good win over tournament favourite Jim Williams also this week.
James Richardson made sure it was another heavy defeat for Wes Newton with ‘Ruthless’ proving just that against ‘The Warrior’. He hit a 93 average with his scoring seeing him hit four 180’s and despite only hitting 7/26 on the doubles, Newton was down at 1/8 so couldn’t trouble the league leader.
Jim Williams also added to his points total after his early march was initially halted with a 7-1 win over John Walton, where he produced some excellent darts including an 11 darter and he finished it off with an excellent bull-bull-double 10 120 checkout which saw him hit three straight ton plus checkouts to ease through 7-1.
There were also thumping victories for Darryl Fitton as he saw off Dean Winstanley 7-2 and Gary Robson and Tony O’Shea shared the spoils 6-6.
From Saturday, April 18, nine nights will be played to complete the league with the playoffs set to be played on Monday April 27.
