Today marks the conclusion of this years’ European Tour with the end of the European Darts Trophy in Gottingen, the 12th ET event on the PDC calendar and the last one before the European Championship.
Saturday apart from Daryl Gurney being shocked by Andy Boulton went according to the script unlike a lot of PDC events this year with Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright in particular through defeating Zoran Lerchbacher and Martin Schindler respectively.
Wright has the hard task of Kim Huybrechts who ‘Snakebite’ took out in the final in Riesa recently while MVG has the returning to form and the lucky 16th seed through Mensur’s withdrawal, Stephen Bunting.
Also in action include Rob Cross who faces Keegan Brown who needs a semi-final to reach Hasselt next month, a tasty clash between Dave Chisnall and Jelle Klaasen as well as two winners on tour this year Michael Smith and Jonny Clayton with the event being anyone’s to win especially if MVG and Wright lose in the afternoon session today.
Afternoon Session (12pm-4pm)
Michael Smith v Jonny Clayton
Rob Cross v Keegan Brown
Dave Chisnall v Jelle Klaasen
Peter Wright v Kim Huybrechts
Simon Whitlock v Jan Dekker
Andy Boulton v Vincent van der Voort
Alan Norris v Joe Cullen
Michael van Gerwen v Stephen Bunting
Evening Session (6pm-10pm)
