Michael Smith produced the performance of the day yesterday with a 6-2 demolition of Chris Dobey. He hit a 105 average giving the in-form ‘Hollywood’ minimum chances.

There were 7 180’s underlining the scoring power of the St Helens ace. He will play James Wade today in a repeat of last weeks match which saw the Machine come out on top.
Smith spoke afterwards and admitted his Premier League form is really helping him. For him though he hopes he can go far if he can put in regular performances like that in the Premier League.
“My form in the Premier League is really helping me,” said Smith.
“But i’m not playing like I did today in the Premier League. I’m getting by with 93 or 94 averages, not over 100.
“My doubles have been really good though, and if I can do both here than I hope I can go far.”
